John Van Rooy

John (Yahya) Van Rooy possesses extensive experience in educational leadership and community development. Currently serving as the Lead of Islamic Pedagogy & Community Relations and Elementary School Principal at Next Generation School since June 2021, John also holds the position of Educational Consultant at Eternal Sparks Consulting. Their role as Director of Community Development began in November 2020 with the Islamic Schools League of America. Prior experience includes academic coordination at Jeddah Private International School and curriculum consulting at Learn4Life. John has taught English at various institutions and initiated volunteer programs internationally. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in International Education from the Van Loan School at Endicott College and a Bachelor of Arts in Peace Studies and Spanish from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University.
