Next Level Dads (NLD) is dedicated to addressing the isolation, loneliness, and lack of peer support that many fathers experience throughout parenthood.

Through conversations with dad groups and health services across Canada, we identified a clear social gap: many fathers want genuine one-on-one peer connections with other dads who share similar experiences, as well as inclusive community spaces where they can talk openly about fatherhood. Unlike mothers, who often have more established support networks, many dads lack accessible environments for meaningful connection.

To address this, Next Level Dads is creating an app designed specifically for fathers. The app is being built to help dads connect based on their age, the ages of their children, and common interests, making it easier to form real, meaningful friendships outside of large, inactive social media platforms.

The app will support one-on-one connections, smaller group spaces, and broader communities. Fathers will be able to choose how and why they want to connect, whether that’s decompressing with another dad, meeting fathers with similarly aged children, or learning from those who have already navigated later stages of parenthood.

By building technology that prioritizes intention and peer support, Next Level Dads aims to help fathers feel less alone and more supported, strengthening families in the process.
