Jonathan Richards

Jonathan Richards is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic IT and project management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Product Group Manager at Next since April 2022, Jonathan previously held roles at E.ON, including CIO Strategy Analyst/Project Manager, where responsibilities focused on strategy development and implementation, particularly in digital innovation and smart grid technologies. Prior to this, Jonathan was a Strategic IT Programme Manager at E.ON IT UK Limited, leading the Smart Grid IT Programme for European distribution businesses. Earlier career highlights include positions as Head of Application Development & Support at both Western Power Distribution and E.ON IT UK Limited, as well as IT Applications Manager at Central Networks. Jonathan holds a BA in Business Studies from the University of Sunderland, earned from 2000 to 2004.
