“Italy is a country of family-owned SMEs and brilliant entrepreneurs. Even more after the pandemic, there is a clear need for consolidation. Thoughtful M&A can generate synergies and unleash resources to invest in innovation, R&D, international growth, energy transition and human capital. In this context, private equity can play a key role: Nextalia is ready to invest in the Italian real economy and promote sustainable growth for Italian excellences.”
Francesco Canzonieri, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Investment and ESG Committees

Nextalia is a unique investment platform in the Italian market, founded by Francesco Canzonieri together with leading Italian institutional investors (Intesa Sanpaolo, UnipolSai Assicurazioni, Coldiretti and Micheli Associati) and featuring a team of highly qualified professionals.

Our mission is to become the reference platform for private market investments in Italy, leveraging our in-house professional capabilities and our strong network of relationships with entrepreneurs, corporations and institutions, providing preferred access to proprietary investment opportunities.

Nextalia has developed a proprietary approach – ESGNext – to actively promote ESG factors across investment and portfolio management processes, thus emerging as a distinctive player in the Italian private equity market.

Nextalia intends to launch “Nextalia Private Equity”, an alternative, closed-end investment fund focused on high growth potential SMEs, the backbone of the Italian economy, acting as the preferred partner to accelerate value creation through investments, managerial support, and access to its proprietary network.
