Dan Oancea has held several positions in the marketing and business development fields since 1998. Dan began their career with British American Tobacco as Head of Brands/Brand Manager/Marketing Executive where they managed the company's brand portfolio in Romania and was responsible for achieving brand KPI's. In 2002, they joined JTI (Japan Tobacco International) as Regional Marketing Director Adriatic & Balkan, where they were responsible for re-entering the ex Yugoslavian markets and achieving brand KPI's through the development and implementation of the new brand portfolio strategy and communication plans. In 2005, they moved to The Coca Cola Company Balkan & Adriatic Region as Regional Group Brand Director, Adriatic & Balkans Region, where they were responsible for regional brand management and turnover and profit responsibility for the respective brands in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Albania and Bosnia. In 2007, they joined Ogilvy as CEO, where they had full P&L responsibility and general management following the global merger of Ogilvy Action, G2 and JWT Action. Dan was responsible for developing and implementing the company's short and long term plan, with major focus on expending clients portfolio and overachieving the developed and agreed Growth Plan. In 2016, they joined iCoolhunt/Nextatlas as Head of Central Europe, where they were responsible for developing and implementing the NextAtlas marketing and business development strategy in the Central European region.
Dan Oancea attended the University of Bucharest from 1991 to 1996.
