Scott MacLeod serves as the Head of Security and Government Strategy at NEXTDC since October 2023, and also contributes as a Committee Member for the Privacy and Security Advisory Committee of the Australian Digital Health Agency Board. Prior to this, Scott held notable roles at Amazon Web Services as Head of National Security Solution Architecture for Australia/New Zealand from December 2020 to June 2023, and at the Australian Signals Directorate as First Assistant Director-General from July 2018 to July 2020. Previous tenure includes significant positions within the Australian Federal Police, where Scott contributed to the development of the Australian Cyber Security Centre and focused on strategy and delivery, and with the Department of Defence as Senior Manager of the Computer Network Vulnerability Team. Scott's career commenced in the Royal Australian Navy, specializing in intelligence and IT. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Government and Commercial Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, both from The Australian National University.
