Alex Thompson

Alex Thompson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the engineering and construction industry. In 2008, they started working at the Gorgon LNG Project as the Engineering Lead and Delivery Manager for LNG and AGRU. Alex held this role until 2017. During their time there, they also worked as a Project Manager and Lead Project Engineer - Technical at WorleyParsons from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, Thompson joined Rio Grande LNG as the Director of Engineering until early 2020. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Engineering and Construction at NextDecade since 2020.

Alex Thompson has a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Control Systems Engineering with Business Management from the University of Warwick.
