Peter Fitzpatrick

Peter Fitzpatrick has a strong background in the shipping and offshore industry. Peter is currently serving as the VP of Shipping at NextDecade since 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), including SVP Global Offshore, VP Strategy & Development, VP Global Business Development, VP Global Marine, and VP Marine Technology, between 2016 and 2021. Before joining ABS, they worked at BG Group as the VP of Ship Design & Construction and Director of Ship Design and Construction from 2004 to 2016. Peter began their career at Lloyd's Register of Shipping as a Senior Surveyor from 1992 to 2004.

Peter Fitzpatrick completed their education with a diverse range of experiences. In 1983, they started their educational journey at Cranbrook School, where they obtained their O & A Level degree with a focus on general studies. Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Southampton, from 1988 to 1991, specializing in Ship Science. Most recently, in 2019, they attended the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program 196, further enhancing their knowledge and skills in the field of management.
