Terry Labunda

Terry Labunda has extensive work experience in the LNG (liquefied natural gas) industry. They have held various roles in different companies, starting with Asean LNG Trading Co. Ltd in 2002. At Asean LNG Trading Co. Ltd, Labunda worked as a Market Development Executive, Senior Market Analyst, Senior Executive for LNG Supply & Optimization, and eventually became the Head of Trading for the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

In 2010, Labunda joined Asean LNG Trading Co. Ltd again, this time as the Head of Trading for the West of Suez region. They led trading strategies and initiatives and ensured the successful execution of business operations.

In 2011, Labunda joined PETRONAS LNG (UK) Ltd., where they held several roles, including Manager of Supply & Trading, Head of LNG Trading & Origination, and Director & CEO of PLUK. They were responsible for growing the company's LNG portfolio, overseeing trading activities, and leading high-stake contract negotiations.

In 2014, Labunda worked as a Director at LNG INVESTMENTS EUROPE LTD., where they were responsible for ensuring the synchronization between trading and operational activities and managing commercial and operational matters.

Labunda then joined Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in 2016 as the General Manager of LNG Marketing for Mozambique LNG. They held this role until 2019.

From 2019 to 2022, Labunda worked at TotalEnergies, where they held the positions of General Manager for China & SEA, LNG Marketing for Mozambique LNG and Commercial Manager for LNG & Gas.

Currently, Labunda is Senior Director of LNG Marketing - Asia at NextDecade since 2022.

Terry Labunda has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) degree in Finance with Marketing from Universiti Teknologi MARA. Additionally, they have a Diploma in Business Studies specializing in Business, Management, and Marketing from the same university.
