Christine Serva

Christine Serva has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Christine currently works at Nextdoor as a Training Operations Manager, where they design the onboarding experience for new hires and optimizes training processes based on different learning modalities. Christine also specializes in creating hands-on learning experiences related to new products and leads efforts to build the knowledge foundation for the Global Neighborhood Operations team. Prior to this, Christine worked at Charles Schwab as a Senior Instructional Designer, collaborating with organizational learning teams to design engaging course materials that enhance performance. Christine also worked as an Instructional Designer at Charles Schwab, applying their expertise in instructional technologies and best practices. Before joining Charles Schwab, Christine operated their own business, Christine Serva, LLC, as a Learning Design Consultant. In this role, they provided learning experience design services to organizations and businesses, creating self-paced, instructor-led, and blended learning courses. Additionally, Christine worked at Social Solutions as a Technical Services & Training Manager, supporting human service organizations in utilizing ETO Software to track program progress and improve services. In this role, they trained end users and administrators of all levels and abilities and managed a team of technical solutions architects and trainers. Christine's prior experience includes working as a Multimedia Designer at Pineapple Productions and as a Quality Supports Assistant at The Arc of Baltimore, where they facilitated the development and monitoring of Individual Plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and oversaw quality goals for the organization.

Christine Serva completed their Bachelor's Degree in American Studies from Dickinson College from 1996 to 2000. Christine then pursued a Master's Degree in American Studies from the University of East Anglia between 2005 and 2007. In 2010, they enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and obtained a Health Coach Certification, which they completed in 2012. Additionally, in December 2021, Christine Serva obtained the ATD Master Instructional Designer Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
