Omar Aleisa

Omar AlEisa has a diverse work experience in product design, entrepreneurship, and consulting. Omar is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at Nextdoor since May 2023. Previously, they co-founded Sibly in 2016, where they served as Co-Founder/Advisor, Head of Design & User Experience, and later as Head Of Technology. At Sibly, they developed the entire software system, recruited and managed a team of software engineers.

In addition, Omar worked as a Design Consultant/Advisor at aleisa.me from 2010 onwards, providing consultation services for product design and strategy to startup founders. Omar assisted startups backed by prominent venture capital firms like Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures. At Flagship, they played a key role in establishing product design and contributing to the creator-commerce ecosystem.

Earlier in their career, Omar co-founded Feelit, Inc., where they served as a Lead Product Designer. The company aimed to connect people based on their emotions and launched mobile and web consumer products used by over 250,000 users. Omar also co-founded Wain Nakel (Where to Eat?), an app that solved the problem of deciding where to eat, particularly targeting locals in Saudi Arabia.

During their career, Omar has also gained experience as a Summer Intern at Elm Company, one of the largest tech companies in Saudi Arabia. Omar has worked as a Graphic Designer at Tam Development LLC and as a Photographer for The 11th Gifted Students Program at KFUPM.

Omar AlEisa holds a B.S. degree (with honors) in Software Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, which they pursued from 2009 to 2014. In 2012, they also participated in a Student Exchange Program at Texas A&M University. Additionally, they completed an English Summer Course at Vancouver English Center in July-August 2010.
