Shandi Ortiz

Shandi Ortiz has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Shandi started their career at Target as a Human Resource Team Member. Shandi then joined Bayside Solutions as a Senior Technical Recruiter/Account Manager, where they managed accounts, coordinated interviews, and trained new recruiters. Shandi also worked at Airbnb and Shift Technologies as a Technical Recruiter, supporting their hiring processes.

In 2015, Shandi joined Binc, a hybrid recruiting firm, as a Project Lead. During their time there, they worked on projects for various companies including Airbnb, Shift Technologies, MZ, Nextdoor, and IBM. Shandi also served as a Senior Technical Recruiter at Nextdoor, contributing to the mission of building stronger and safer communities through technology.

Shandi's next role was as a Talent Acquisition Lead at IBM, where they worked with Binc as a partner. Shandi later returned to Nextdoor as a Manager of Technical Recruiting, Operations, & Programs, and eventually moved up to become the Lead of People and Talent Operations. Currently, they hold the position of Head of People and Talent Operations at Nextdoor, overseeing all aspects of people and talent management within the company.

Shandi Ortiz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from California State University, Chico. Shandi completed their education in 2011.
