Michelle Crowell

Michelle Crowell, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michelle currently holds the position of Director of Finance at Nextep, a role they have held since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Paycom from 2018 to 2023, where they served as a Billing Supervisor and later as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst. As a Billing Supervisor, they oversaw the month end close process for billing and managed a team of three managers and a workforce of 35+ employees. Michelle also supported the Accounting organization in recording annual revenue exceeding $1 billion. In their role as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, Michelle analyzed monthly financial results, worked with upper management to project budgets, and developed financial reports using various software tools.

Before joining Paycom, Michelle worked at Midland Mortgage as a Loan Administration Analyst from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they served as an IT Accounting Analyst at Love's Travel Stops from 2013 to 2017, where they prepared analytics for IT projects and assisted with annual budgeting. From 2010 to 2013, Michelle worked at United Way of Central Oklahoma as the Director of Campaign Processing. In this role, they performed general accounting duties and played a key role in processing funds raised during the annual fundraising campaign. Their early career included a position as an Accounts Payable Clerk at ICx Technologies from 2009 to 2010, where they processed invoices for payment and made cash projections.

Michelle Crowell, CPA completed their Master's degree in Accounting at Oklahoma City University from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Oklahoma State University from 1998 to 2001. In September 2017, Michelle obtained their CPA certification.
