David Flechner

David Flechner is the Vice President for Compliance (Officer) and Corporate Secretary at NextEra Energy, Inc. With nearly 20 years of experience in corporate governance and international financing, David has represented clients across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe, particularly in cross-border lending and securities offerings. Prior roles include being a Partner at A&O Shearman and Paul Hastings, as well as Counsel and Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. David holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and has pursued graduate studies in International Trade at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, and proficient in French, David's extensive expertise positions them as a leader in clean energy transactions.
