Mitchell Graff

Mitchell Graff, M.S., is an accomplished geologist with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a Geologist at NextEra Energy, Inc. since August 2021. As the Founder of Estacado Hydrocarbon Exploration, Mitchell has successfully identified and acquired multiple acreage leases, notably 320 acres in the Eagle Ford sold to Gulf-Tex. Previously, as Executive Vice President of Exploration and Co-Founder at Resource Rock Exploration, significant achievements included acquiring 15,000 acres in Eddy County, New Mexico, later sold to Chisholm Energy. Mitchell's tenure at BP from 2006 to 2016 involved leading various geological initiatives, including the GECO Project and regional shale gas appraisal programs, while contributing to the M&A strategy for the Eagle Ford Joint Venture. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Geology and Earth Science from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Texas - Permian Basin.
