Robert Schmid

Robert Schmid is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in credit analysis and risk management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Credit Underwriting at NextEra Energy, Inc. since July 2022, Robert previously held significant roles at bp, including Credit Control Lead and Strategic Credit Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed credit evaluation and structuring across global commodities, especially in Latin America and renewable energy sectors. Robert’s earlier roles include Vice President of the Credit Analysis Team at PPM America and Credit Analyst at LaSalle Bank, along with part-time finance experience at Leo Burnett. Robert holds an MBA in Economics & International Business from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from DePaul University.
