Caroline Byrd

Caroline Byrd has extensive work experience in the field of regulatory affairs and quality management. Their most recent role is as the VP of Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical at Nextern. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Commercial RAQA at Leica Biosystems, where they developed a program for transitioning IVD products and managed a global regulatory team. Caroline also served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Abbott, where they led a team of engineers and scientists and initiated a global compliance initiative. Caroline has held various other roles throughout their career, including Director of Engineering and Quality at Monteris Medical, Product Quality Manager at St. Jude Medical, and Senior Quality Engineer at AGA Medical and Nestle. Caroline started their career at Boston Scientific as a Senior Corporate Quality Systems Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. Caroline's expertise includes risk management, project management, and implementing quality systems.

Caroline Byrd pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis during the years 1996 to 2000.
