Kevin Kopp

Kevin Kopp has over 25 years of work experience in software engineering roles. Kevin currently serves as the Director of Software Engineering at Nextern since May 2021. Prior to their current position, they worked at Smiths Medical for 17 years, holding various management positions. These roles include R&D Director of Software Engineering, Senior Manager of Ambulatory Infusion Product Line Engineering, Senior Software Engineering Manager, Manager of Research and Development, Manager of Global Software Tools and Services, Senior Software Project Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer. Before Smiths Medical, they worked as a Contract Software Engineer at Greenbriar & Russel for four years and at GB Lumina, Inc. for three years. Overall, Kevin Kopp has extensive experience in leading software development projects, managing teams, and developing software applications for medical devices.

Kevin Kopp pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) in Physics at the University of Minnesota from 1989 to 1995.
