Jose Ignacio Rodriguez-Labra

Jose Ignacio Rodriguez-Labra is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in research and development. Currently employed at NextFlex since July 2022, Jose has previously contributed as a research assistant at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Western Michigan University from June 2018 to April 2022, where notable projects included the development of a PPG Sensor Array for cardiovascular monitoring and a piezoelectric-sensor-based system to control a robotic hand. Additionally, during a research internship at Florida Atlantic University in the summer of 2019, Jose worked on machine learning models for aquaculture and harmful algae blooms. Jose holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, both from Western Michigan University.
