Dr. Deborah Watson

Dr. Deborah Watson is a seasoned professional in technology and cybersecurity, currently serving as a virtual CISO, IT & InfoSec author, and speaker during their freelance work since 2023. With over 20 years of experience, they have held prominent roles including Director of Global IT Security at CB&I and Specialist Director at KPMG, overseeing security strategy and risk across various sectors. Dr. Watson is also a board member for both NextGen Cyber and the Friends of Mercer Botanic Garden, while contributing as a counselor at Karitas Counseling and an assistant professor at Lone Star College. They hold a Doctorate in Psychology, a Master’s in Information Technology Management from Harvard University, and a Bachelor's degree from Kaplan University.
