Mathieu Scherz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mathieu began their career as an Intern at the Laboratory of Computational Neuroscience (LCN) at EPFL in 2002. Mathieu then worked as a Research Assistant at the Autonomous System Lab (ASL), where they studied evolutionary robotics and artificial intelligence.

In 2003, Mathieu went on an expedition to Bolivia where they served as an Instructor, supervising a group of young people on mountaineering trips. Mathieu also traveled to South America and Australia during this time.

After that, Mathieu conducted their Master's thesis at the Solar Energy and Building Physics Laboratory (LESO) at EPFL. Here, they researched predictive heating controllers and worked on occupation prediction and thermal modeling using neural networks.

Mathieu then joined the Gymnase de Nyon et Ecole Vinet as a Teacher, where they taught physics, mathematics, science, and geography. Mathieu also served as a class adviser and organized study visits.

In 2007, Mathieu became the Co-leader of the youth division at Club Alpin Suisse, section la Dôle. Mathieu managed budgets, grants, and subsidies, and was responsible for the activity program, website, and team management. Mathieu organized climbing courses, camps, and weekend activities for children and parents.

From 2005 to 2012, Mathieu worked for Etrinex SA as a Project Manager. Mathieu managed various projects related to application development and infrastructure deployment. Mathieu also handled requirement and specification validation, design, planning, negotiation, testing, and change management. Additionally, they were responsible for software development and managing information technology systems.

Since 2013, Mathieu has been with Nexthink, initially starting as a Technical Product Manager. Mathieu worked on the V6 product line, collaborating with development teams to release key capabilities that transformed the product. This included implementing active scripts and remediations on endpoints and building high-level indicators and insights.

Over the years, Mathieu has taken on increasingly senior roles at Nexthink, including Director of Product Management, Senior Director of Product Management, and their current position as Vice President of Product Management. In their current role, they lead a team of product managers working on the cloud version of Nexthink. Mathieu is responsible for collecting and processing data from end-user devices, managing permissions, and enabling customers to have the best digital employee experience platform. Mathieu also empowers other teams to create exceptional visualizations.

Mathieu Scherz received their education from various institutions, starting with their time at Gymnase de Nyon from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained their Maturité scientifique. Mathieu then attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Master's degree in Physics. During their time at EPFL, they also pursued an international diploma in physics at Imperial College London from 2000 to 2001.

After completing their studies in physics, Mathieu Scherz pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) at HEC - Université de Genève from 2010 to 2012, focusing on the field of Business Administration.

In terms of certifications, Mathieu Scherz obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI in June 2013. Mathieu also acquired the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, although the specific details of when and where they obtained it are not provided.
