Maxime Kinet

Maxime Kinet has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and mechanical engineering. Maxime is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Nexthink since October 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Gamaya from March 2018 to September 2019.

Before transitioning into data science, Maxime has extensive experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Maxime worked at TRACTEBEL - ENGIE GROUP from June 2015 to December 2017, where they were involved in various data science projects for the Engie group. These projects included time-series forecasting of imbalance prices, machine learning on wind turbine data, and algorithm development based on smart thermostat data. Prior to this role, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at TRACTEBEL - ENGIE GROUP from December 2012 to June 2015, where they gained expertise in the field.

Before joining TRACTEBEL - ENGIE GROUP, Maxime worked as a Mechanical Engineer at LMS Samtech Samcef from June 2010 to November 2012. And prior to that, they were a PhD Student at Université Libre de Bruxelles from September 2005 to September 2009, focusing on the development of parallel codes for computational fluid dynamics applications, numerical simulations of MHD turbulence, and nuclear fusion reactor heat exchangers.

Maxime Kinet's education history starts with completing a Nanodegree Program in Self-driving car Engineer from Udacity in 2017-2018. Prior to that, they obtained a University Certificate in Mathematics and Statistics, Data Mining from Université catholique de Louvain in 2013-2014. In 2005-2009, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physics from Université libre de Bruxelles.
