Robert Parrott

SVP Of Engineering, Chief Architect at Nexthink

Robert Parrott has a significant amount of work experience in various leadership and architect roles. Robert currently holds the position of SVP of Engineering and Chief Architect at Nexthink, a role they started in 2023. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2023, they worked at Veracode as the Chief Architect and VP, where they were responsible for driving technical and architectural innovation as well as achieving important technology goals.

Before their time at Veracode, they worked at Aetna, a CVS Health Company, from 2018 to 2020, where they held the position of Senior Director and Head of Architecture. During this time, they were responsible for defining the technology strategy and vision for Aetna Digital and managing the architecture team.

From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Pegasystems, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Cloud Engineering and Chief Architect for Cloud. Robert successfully transformed Pegasystem's Cloud Architecture and implemented a new hosting platform based on microservice and serverless architectures.

In 2013 and 2014, Robert worked at Harvard University and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, respectively. At Harvard, they served as a Senior Architect and was responsible for developing cloud capabilities and strategies for the university.

Additionally, they have previous experience as a Research Associate at FDO Partners, a Systems Engineering Consultant at Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab, a Programmer/Analyst at Dartmouth College, and a Quality Assurance Intern at Fluent Inc.

Robert Parrott has an extensive education history in the field of physics. Robert began their academic journey by completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Dartmouth College from 1992 to 1996, with a major in Physics and Cognitive Science and a minor in Mathematics. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree at Dartmouth College from 1997 to 1999, focusing on Physics. Lastly, they obtained their highest level of education, a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, from Harvard University, where they studied from 1999 to 2006.
