Simone Montesano

Simone Montesano has a diverse work experience in various roles related to product management and technical program management. They have worked in companies such as Nexthink, Proton, gluoNNet, CERN, and INFN.

At Nexthink, Simone worked as a Product Manager starting in March 2023.

Prior to that, at Proton, they held the positions of Product Manager from November 2021 to May 2022, and Technical Product Owner from April 2021 to November 2021.

At gluoNNet, a start-up, Simone worked as a Product Manager from November 2018 to June 2019. They successfully delivered the first full-functioning Proof of Concept, identified objectives and resources for the first product release by leveraging customer interviews.

They worked as a Technical Programme Manager from August 2013 to July 2018, where they conceived and finalized R&D programs, supervised the data analysis team, and led the software rewrite for data processing and analysis. Simone also worked at CERN as a Research Physicist and Data Scientist from January 2010 to June 2010, where they optimized an algorithm for the ATLAS Experiment's Pixel Detector and implemented it as template classes in C++.

Their earliest work experience was at INFN, where they started as a Research Physicist and Data Scientist in November 2006. They also contributed to the Pixel Detector commissioning and the Tracking Performance group as a PHD student.

Simone Montesano began their education in 2000 at the Università degli Studi di Milano, where they pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics. They completed their studies in 2006. Following this, Simone enrolled in the Doctorate school in Physics, Astrophysics, and Applied Physics at the same university. They obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics in 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Simone has also obtained various certifications.
