Jay Stewart

Jay Stewart is an experienced engineering director with a strong background in VoIP and Unified Communications, currently serving as the Engineering Director of Voice Platform at Nextiva since August 2012. Jay has held multiple positions at Nextiva, including Senior Engineering Manager and Manager of UCaaS, where responsibilities included managing the core voice and UC engineering team, overseeing technology initiatives, and ensuring the platform's overall health and growth. Prior to Nextiva, Jay worked at Telesphere, now Vonage Business, as a Senior Voice Engineer, contributing to voice product development. Jay's career also includes a role at Charles Schwab as a Telecommunications Lab Engineer, focusing on VoIP system support, and extensive experience at Alcatel-Lucent-Nokia as an MTS/System Engineer, specializing in voice products and solutions. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Communications from DeVRY Institute of Technology.
