Badrinath Nagarajan

Distinguished Engineer / Atmospheric Scientist - Altitude Lead at NextNav

Badrinath Nagarajan has worked for a number of companies since 2003. Theirfirst role was as a Visiting Scientist at the International Center for Theoretical Physics in 2003. Badrinath then moved to McGill University in 2004, where they worked as a Research Associate and Faculty Lecturer. In 2009, they became a Principal Research Analyst at Flagstone Reinsurance Support Services (India) Private Lim. In 2010, they accepted a position as a Project Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. In 2014, they became a Research Staff Member at IBM Research, and in 2016 they joined NextNav as a Distinguished Engineer/Atmospheric Scientist - Altitude Lead, and later became a Senior Principal Engineer/Atmospheric Scientist - Altitude Lead.

Badrinath Nagarajan obtained a Ph.D in Atmospheric Science and Meteorology from McGill University between 1994 and 2000. Badrinath then obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Machine Learning between 2019 and 2020.
