Edward Mortimer has over 25 years of experience in government affairs, transportation infrastructure, and government relations. In 1995, they began their career as a Legislative Representative for the American Road & Transportation Builders Association. In 1998, they moved to the Transportation Intermediaries Association as a Director of Government Relations, where they helped create and manage the association's Political Action Committee. In 2001, they returned to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a Director of Transportation Infrastructure, where they represented the business community in promoting improved transportation infrastructure and mobility for goods and people. In 2006, they became a Director of Government Relations for AECOM, representing the company's infrastructure projects before the Administration, Congress, state and local governments, and industry trade groups. In 2015, they were promoted to Vice President of Transportation Infrastructure at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, overseeing the development and implementation of the Chamber's transportation and infrastructure policy. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Vice President of Government Affairs at NextNav, leading Government Affairs efforts for the growing geolocation company.
Edward Mortimer attended American University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
