Tom Wrappe has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 1992. Tom began their career at MCI, where they were Director of Technology Planning. In 1995, they moved to Texas Instruments as Director of Strategic Planning for the Wireless Communications Business Unit. After three years, they joined SnapTrack, Inc. as Vice President of Products and General Manager of North America. In 2000, they were appointed Senior Vice President of Qualcomm's SnapTrack Division, where they were a founding business executive. In 2004, they became an advisor for Global Locate Inc., which was successfully acquired by Broadcom in 2007. Tom also served as an advisor to Magnolia Broadband and Principal of Early Stage Advisors LLC. In 2007, they took on the role of Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Quantance, Inc. In 2017, they began working as a Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at San Jose State University, and in 2012 they were appointed Vice President of Ecosystem Development at NextNav LLC.
Tom Wrappe completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame between 1974 and 1978. Tom then went on to pursue an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago between 1980 and 1983. In 2012, they received a Professional Certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University.
