Tom Lai

Tom Lai has a diverse work experience in various creative roles. Tom started as a Freelance Web/Graphics Designer, creating multimedia presentations and web graphics. Tom then worked as a Product Design Manager at D3 Security Management Systems. Tom went on to work as a Graphics Artist and Illustrator for companies like Wyley Interactive and Seven Tales Inc., where they provided art assets and concept illustrations for interactive web experiences and video games. Tom later joined Casual Immersions Entertainment as a Freelance Digital Illustrator, contributing to UI and UX design for a puzzle RPG adventure game. Tom also worked at Finger Food Studios and AZUBU as a Graphic Designer and UI/UX Designer, respectively, creating design assets for mobile games and eSports live stream platforms. Most recently, they joined Promethean TV as a Senior UX Designer, helping design and ship their flagship product. Currently, Tom holds the position of Creative Director at NextPlay Technologies, overseeing creative teams and providing expertise in graphic design, UI/UX design, and corporate branding.

Tom Lai completed a BCIT Certificate in Digital Animation from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science, Interactive Arts from Simon Fraser University from 2002-2006.
