Ty Hudson

Ty Hudson is an experienced engineer with a strong background in mechanical and product development within the solar industry. Ty began a career as a Mechanical Engineer at Xandex, Inc., from 2002 to 2007, and held leadership roles including Vice President of Product Development at Zep Solar and SolarCity, where Zep Solar was acquired in 2013. Subsequent positions include Engineering Fellow at SolarCity and Senior Staff in Solar Systems Mechanical Engineering at Tesla. From 2020 to 2024, Ty served as an Engineering Fellow and Vice President of Product Development at Ojjo, Inc., before transitioning to Nextracker Inc. as a Senior Engineer in June 2024. Ty holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Stanford University.
