Nico Valcarcel

Nico Valcarcel is a seasoned information security professional currently serving as the Director of Information Security at NextRoll since July 2019, providing leadership for Security Operations and Product Security teams. In addition, Valcarcel functions as a Technical Advisor and Virtual CTO for LEN and is a member of the Information Security Leadership Foundation, focused on developing future security leaders. Previous experience includes roles as Head of Security at Rainforest QA, Engineering Lead, and Software Engineer, among others, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing technical designs, managing teams, and developing security controls. Valcarcel also has a background in educational roles, such as instructing Python courses at Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. Valcarcel holds an academic degree from Universidad de Lima, earned between 2002 and 2008.
