Sean Dempsey

Sean Dempsey is a co-founder and managing partner at Merus Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in software that addresses real problems, a position held since January 2008. Dempsey serves on the board of directors for several companies, including Emi Labs, Shelterluv, NextRoll, TapResearch, and previously Womply. Dempsey also holds the role of board observer at Censia and is a member of the Limited Partner Advisory Committee for StoryHouse Ventures. Prior experience includes a position as Principal in Corporate Development at Google from April 2005 to December 2007, and board member roles for AllClear ID and Womply, both of which were acquired. Dempsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Environment, Politics, and French from Claremont McKenna College.
