Derek Oberg

Derek Oberg is a collaborative leader with extensive experience in military operations and strategic planning. They served as Battalion Executive Officer in the US Army, managing over 700 personnel and ensuring readiness for global deployment. As Strategic Planner for NATO operations in Afghanistan, they worked closely with the Afghan Ministry of Defense to develop military strategies. Currently, Derek leads the J84C Team at NextStep Technology, Inc., focusing on the National Guard's capability development and counter unmanned aerial systems efforts. They also held several roles at the Joint Task Force-National Capital Region, overseeing operations critical to national defense.
