Network Security Engineer at Nexum

Brian Webb has a strong background in network security and engineering. Brian started working as an IS Specialist at Kroger in 1998 and later became a Network Engineer on the Enterprise Network Engineering Team. In 2007, they transitioned into the role of Network Security Engineer, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of firewall infrastructure, DNS/DHCP infrastructure, and intrusion prevention systems. Brian continued in this role until joining Nexum, Inc in 2017 as a Network Security Engineer. In 2019, they returned to Kroger as a Network Security Architect, where they are currently working.

Brian Webb earned an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati between 1993 and 1998. Brian later obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Engineering Technology from the same university between 1994 and 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Brian obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)2 in December 2013. Brian additionally obtained certifications from Symantec, including Symantec Certified Specialist in Symantec Secure Sockets Layer Visibility 5.0, BCCPA, and BCCPP. Furthermore, they earned the GCFW certification from SANS Institute in June 2009.
