John Fenwick

John Fenwick is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in public sector financial management. Currently serving as the Director of Finance and Resources at Nexus since August 2008, John oversees financial operations for public transport services in the North East, including the Tyne and Wear Metro. Prior to Nexus, John held the position of Director of Finance, ICT and Performance at Northumbria Probation Service, where responsibilities included financial advisory to the Probation Board. John's career in financial management began at Gateshead Council, where various roles spanned over 15 years, culminating in qualification as a Chartered Public Finance Accountant in 1996. Academic credentials include a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategy and Resource Management from Northumbria University and an earlier qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians from New College Durham.
