Daniel Mathon

Daniel Mathon, PhD, CFA, is a co-founder of Nexus Climate VC since June 2023, focusing on investment opportunities in the climate transition sector, particularly in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. As a founding partner at Alumni Advisors, Mathon provides strategic advice to institutional investors to enhance portfolio efficiency. Previously, Mathon held multiple managerial roles at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority from 2013 to 2023, overseeing portfolio strategy and risk management in one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds. Early career experiences include leadership roles at FactSet and analysis positions at ING, contributing to expertise in portfolio applications and quantitative analytics. Mathon holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Utrecht University and further credentials in strategy from Stanford University.
