Nexus Education was founded in 2018 by Damien Challenger and Mike Reardon, inspired by their experience as school governors and their vision of creating a holistic community for educators. They recognized the need for a platform where schools could share ideas, resources, training, and funding in a comprehensive and inclusive manner.

Our Mission

While existing platforms often focused narrowly on specific areas like EdTech or assessment, Damien and Mike envisioned something that encompassed the entire education sector. Thus, Nexus Education began as a blogging platform where educators could freely share their insights and tips. The platform rapidly grew and now supports over 11,000 schools, delivering valuable content through our website and social media channels.

Innovative Solutions

Leveraging their backgrounds in events and publishing, Damien and Mike expanded Nexus Education to address the real-time challenges faced by schools. In June 2018, they introduced NeXworking – a revolutionary speed networking format that redefined traditional educational events. These bespoke 90-minute sessions are tailored to the specific needs of groups of schools, ensuring that solutions are relevant and actionable.

Driving Impact

NeXworking is solution-driven. If schools face a problem, we connect them with the right solutions. Beyond providing these solutions, we are committed to empowering schools to implement them. To this end, we have donated (up until June 2024) £195,000 to schools working with us ar over 190 events since 2018.

Our Community

Today, Nexus Education is a thriving online and events community. Annually, we engage 1,500 schools through NeXworking, host over 750 blogs, generate 300,000 monthly social media impressions, attract 5,000+ monthly website visitors, and collaborate with over 800 solution providers. And this is just the beginning!
