Robert Lapins has a strong background in product management, particularly in the field of technology and IoT solutions. Robert has held various leadership roles in companies such as Nexxiot, Nordsense, CirCal, and ESGIO.

At Nexxiot, they served as the Head of Product Management, focusing on product vision, roadmap, and strategy. Robert led high-performance product teams and implemented lean innovation and agile delivery culture. Prior to this, they were the Head of Platform and Product Manager at Nexxiot, where they played a key role in digital transformation and product development initiatives.

Before joining Nexxiot, Robert Lapins co-founded and served as the CTO of Nordsense, where they led the development of an End-to-End IoT monitoring solution for waste management. Robert implemented efficient sensors and intelligent algorithms that resulted in cost-saving opportunities for cities like Copenhagen.

As the CTO and Co-Founder of CirCal, Robert Lapins oversaw product development initiatives and managed the implementation, operation, and maintenance of various projects related to event planning and management.

Earlier in their career, Robert Lapins worked as a Project Manager at ESGIO, where they managed projects in sectors like education, healthcare, government, and e-commerce. Robert focused on resource planning, budgeting, and ensuring on-time deliveries. Robert also established a near-shoring software development organization to support growth objectives.

Robert Lapins began their education at IBA Erhvervsakademi Kolding in 2008, where they pursued a degree in Multimedia Design. Robert completed their Academic Professional program at this institution in 2010. In 2010, they enrolled at Aalborg University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in IT, Communications, and New Media, which they completed in 2013. Following this, Robert Lapins continued their education at Aalborg University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Innovative Communication Technologies and Entrepreneurship in 2015. More recently, in 2020 and 2021, they pursued two separate courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The first course, completed in 2020, focused on Leading Organizations and Change. The second course, currently ongoing, is centered around Designing and Building AI Products and Services.
