GP (Gajinder Pal Singh) has a strong background in bioinformatics and genomics research. GP has worked as a Lead Scientist at nference since 2020, where they analyze healthcare data to address important questions and develops machine-learning algorithms for monitoring cardiovascular health. Prior to this, GP worked at MEDGENOME as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, where they implemented a machine learning model to identify disease-causing mutations and created pipelines for genomic data analysis. GP also worked as a Research Scientist at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, where they analyzed genomics datasets to understand drug-resistance evolution in malaria. GP's earlier experience includes work as an Assistant Professor at KiiT University and as a Post-doc at Biological Research Centre in Hungary, where they analyzed genomics datasets to study antibiotic resistance. GP completed their Ph.D. at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, where they focused on understanding the functional significance of intrinsically disordered regions in proteins using computational methods. GP has published multiple high-impact publications throughout their career.

Gajinder Pal Singh, also referred to as GP, holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from the Institute of genomics and integrative biology (CSIR). Prior to their doctoral studies, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology from Madurai Kamaraj University in 2003. GP also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Microbiology from Delhi University, which they completed in 2001. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Strategic Thinking and Prioritizing Effectively as a Leader from LinkedIn in 2022 and 2021, respectively.
