Cathy Lanier

SVP & Chief Security Officer at NFL

Cathy Lanier began their career in law enforcement with the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia in September 1990. Cathy served in a variety of roles over the next 26 years, eventually being promoted to Chief of Police in September 2016. In September 2016, they left the Metropolitan Police Department to join the NFL as their SVP, Chief Security Officer.

Cathy Lanier has a MA in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and a B.S/M.S. in Management from Johns Hopkins University.

They work with Renie Anderson - EVP, Chief Revenue Officer, Brian Rolapp - Chief Media & Business Officer, and Troy Vincent - EVP, Football Operations. Their manager is Roger Goodell, Comissioner.
