Michael Burns

Michael Burns is an experienced city manager currently serving the City of Lowell since September 2016, while also working as a Game Day Assistant for the NFL since August 2016. Prior to this role, Michael was the Assistant City Manager and Economic Development Director for the City of Fenton from February 2009 to August 2016. Additional experience includes serving as a Deputy Sheriff with the Macomb County Sheriff Office from February 2000 to February 2009, and an Administrative Intern in Sterling Heights from May 2006 to December 2008. Michael's early career included managing day-to-day operations for the football program at Eastern Michigan University. Michael holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Public Safety Administration, both from Eastern Michigan University.
