Tim Schlittner serves as the Director of Communications for the National Football League (NFL) since May 2022. Prior to this role, Tim was the Communications Director at AFL-CIO from June 2015 to April 2022, where oversight of 24 professionals included managing strategic communications and daily operations to inform working people and media. Tim also held the position of Director of Speechwriting and Editorial Content at AFL-CIO, focusing on engaging messages for its 12.5 million members. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Communications Director for Politics and Speechwriter for the International President at UFCW, and various communications roles within the U.S. House of Representatives. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
