Heather Lawson has extensive work experience in both the banking and education sectors. In 2021 they began working as a Business Analyst for NGDATA. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2021, they were an English Foreign Language Teacher at English Language Solutions, where they taught a diverse group of students and supported the training of new teachers. From 2016 to 2014, they worked as a Credit Risk Analyst at Lloyds Banking Group, performing analysis on data outputs as part of a wider change programme within the Group. During their Year in Industry, they also worked as a Credit Risk Analyst at Lloyds Banking Group, where they were responsible for regular monitoring of PD, EAD and LGD models used in the Group, producing reports for stakeholders and ad-hoc analysis to support the team.
Heather Lawson obtained their high school degree from Plymouth High School for Girls in 2012. Heather then obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Its Applications (with Professional Placement) from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 2016. Heather has also obtained certifications in Learning Data Analytics from LinkedIn in 2021, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from BridgeTEFL in 2018, and Emergency First Aider from Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) in 2014. Heather is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Statistics and Data Science from UHasselt, which they started in 2021.
