Payel Karmakar

Payel Karmakar has over five years of professional experience in the software engineering field. Payel started their career in 2015 as an Assistant Systems Engineer Trainee at Tata Consultancy Services, where they worked on the development of User Interfaces for clients in the Retail domain. Payel then moved to PwC India in 2018, where they worked as a Technology Consultant, responsible for the development of several UI applications for Web, Mobile app and mobile browsers for clients in TelCo, Banking and Government sectors. Currently, they are a Lead Frontend Engineer at NGDATA, where they have implemented major key features which helped the product achieve higher market share. Payel has also improved automated testing to reduce manpower and enhanced the overall performance of the CD builds. Payel has also implemented a few break-through features, in a qualitative manner, which were a part of the product roadmap for a very long time, in a limited period of time.

Payel Karmakar has a varied educational background. From 2003 to 2009, they attended Ichapore Girls' High School in Ichapore, where they obtained their WBBSE in General. From 2009 to 2011, they attended the same school and obtained their WBCHSE in Biology/Biological Sciences. From 2011 to 2015, they attended Academy of Technology in Adisaptagram and obtained their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Additionally, Payel has obtained two certifications: a React Js certification from Udemy: Online Courses in March 2020, and an E-commerce certification from Tata Consultancy Services in January 2016.
