Jaclyn Wells is the QLD Regional Lead for Aquatic Services, bringing over a decade of experience in managing projects dedicated to the conservation of coastal marine ecosystems. Previously, Jaclyn held positions as a Senior Aquatic Ecologist and Fisheries Scientist, focusing on seagrass ecology, fish passage, and monitoring at-risk environments. Jaclyn's role at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries involved assessing coastal habitats, while their time at James Cook University concentrated on tropical seagrass meadows. Currently, Jaclyn leads a team of aquatic ecologists in ecological survey work and community engagement in Queensland and the Torres Strait, emphasizing the importance of environmental education for conservation efforts. Jaclyn is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California.
