Phil MacDonald has extensive experience in environmental management and biodiversity, with a career spanning various roles in both public and private sectors. Phil began as a Natural Areas Field Officer at Ipswich City Council and later served as an Environmental Officer for the Indooroopilly Mine Revegetation project at The University of Queensland. Subsequent positions include Project Ecologist at Arrow Energy Pty Ltd and a series of senior roles at Brisbane City Council, encompassing responsibilities in biodiversity planning, policy, and invasive species management. Currently, Phil holds the position of Regional Lead Biodiversity for South East Queensland at NGH. Phil holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Protected Area Management and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management from The University of Queensland.
