Stein Strandvik

Stein Strandvik is a Principal Engineer specializing in Offshore Geotechnics at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI), where responsibilities also include leading IT and geomatics initiatives. Previously, Stein served as President of NGI Inc. in Houston, Texas, and held several leadership roles at NGI from 1992 to 2008, including Division Head for Foundation and Rock Mechanics and establishing a new NGI office in Trondheim. With over 70 weeks of experience conducting offshore geotechnical soil investigations, Stein possesses extensive expertise in the field. Stein holds a Master’s degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Oslo, obtained between 1981 and 1989.
