The NGO stimulate knowledge of the sustainable design and construction of structures with high-quality performance geomaterials, like geotextiles and geosynthetics in the Netherlands. Geosynthetics can be used in many construction projects in civil and hydraulic engineering, environment and building. Designing and building better, more efficient, more environmentally friendly, more sustainable or cheaper is in many cases possible with the use of proper selected geosynthetic high performance building materials. The NGO is an association that includes knowledge institutes, producers and suppliers, inspection and engineering firms, contractors and authorities that are active in the Netherlands. The NGO the formal Dutch chapter of the IGS, representing the Netherlands in The International Geotextile Society (IGS).
