Mama Alice is an NGO based in Ayacucho – one of the poorest regions of Peru. We work with the most vulnerable members of Ayacucho’s society – focusing on children, young people and families who are facing issues such as domestic violence, alcoholism, sexual abuse, malnutrition and unemployment. These issues have a devastating impact on physical wellbeing, mental health and social relationships. We therefore place education and psychology at the core of our approach, so that the impact we make lasts for good.

Since 2019 Mama Alice offers vocational trainings in QuinuaQ, a Hospitality Training Centre (HTC) where local young adults become a trained cook, bartender and waiter. The restaurant offers Peruvian food and specialties from Ayacucho with international influences. Besides this, QuinuaQ offers great activities, such as mountain biking, climbing trails and by a purchase of the beautiful quality handmade products available in the restaurant you support the Mama Alice Projects.
