Ngombor CDA is founding a Permaculture Model Farm in the Nebbi in North West Uganda and building opportunities where technology and sustainable agriculture work together. We're building opportunities in a holistic way and as we build the farm also work to bridge the digital divide, creating learning and development opportunities in IT.

Ngombor means having come a long way. For development to take place it must have taken time, hard work, commitment and dedication.

Ngombor means hope.

Our mission and vision:
Ngombor Community Development Alliance has a vision to create an empowered and prosperous community in greater Nebbi, in North West Uganda. We are committed to fostering holistic rural community development through community engagement and innovation.

Our goals are to create:

* Improved incomes and diversified livelihoods of smallholder farm families
* Increased participation of women, youth and other underrepresented groups in permaculture
* Increased smallholder farmers resilience to climate change and biodiversity

We want to create an environment where people can have an integrated life, working agriculturally, as well as accessing software development learning and employment.

We are a regional grassroots organization. While we have international volunteers that support our cause, Ngombor’s membership is local and the founding committee is comprised of community leaders who have deep insights and connections in their communities.
